ABOUT ERIN

Erin Elizabeth Sperrey was born on February 15, 1984. She was a very beautiful child with a notorious temper. She grew into a lovely young women and was just beginning to set some goals for her life when she was cruelly taken away from us.

As a child, Erin was a tomboy. She enjoyed scouring the brook behind our home and the lake at our camp for salamanders and crayfish, often bringing them into the house for us to admire. Erin had a special interest in basketball and did very well on her team throughout Junior High School.

Erin's beauty was of model quality as a young woman. She was 5 feet tall and about 90 pounds, but she was a feisty person who would fight for what she wanted. Her greatest hope was to marry a nice young man and raise a family. She loved children and volunteered at a preschool during high school. She was honored for her dedication to the children with the "County All-Star" award from WAGM, in February of 2002.

Erin had been making plans to return to college and study graphic design and architecture. She was an artist who enjoyed oil and watercolor painting, and drawing. She often gifted family and friends with her artwork.

Erin was a very sensitive and giving person who would often write notes and poetry to tell her family and friends how she felt about them. She was a wonderful writer and excelled at poetry.

While Erin is now greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who loved her, her legacy will live on in Erin's Fund. As tragic as it was to lose such a beautiful and special young woman, Erin can now make her mark on the world each time a panic button is used in a store that utilized this fund, or a student with the same troubled start in life as she, graduates from college, never having believed that someone would help them. Erin is finally realizing her dream to make a difference in this world.
